With 150 acres of pasture planted exclusively for bird cover, Long Straw Ranch specializes in upland bird day hunts that showcase the "outdoor best" that our region has to offer. The ranch is open for day hunts from November 1st through March 15th.
Half- and full-day upland bird hunts are available with planted upland game (Chukar, Bobwhite Quail, or Pheasant). These hunts typically include breakfast and/or lunch. For those looking to sharpen their aim before going into the field, a clay target warm-up course is available at the ranch for pre-hunt "tune-ups".

• Full-day hunt with lunch: $700.00 per person
• Half-day hunt with lunch: $350.00 per person
Note: Prices are for typical hunts under normal weather and game conditions. Final pricing on booking date can vary according to number and type of game birds.
Hunting reservations are required, and must be secured in advance of your requested hunt date (two weeks minimum). This is necessary for our preparation of the requested combination of game birds and arrangements for dogs, guide, food, etc. Full payment is preferred for securing day hunt reservations, but we can accept a 25% deposit to hold a reservation.
